Dead But Dreaming
Newsletter #5 - October 1999
Hello from Dead But Dreaming, purveyor of melodic heavy Seattle rock.
Thanks to all of you who came out to the Ballard Firehouse in support of
the battle of the bands. The prize of a spot in The Last Splash
festival went to Dreamcatcher. They put on a good show, and if the
crowd is any indication, will be well received at the festival.
October has DBD playing two weekend shows! The first will be on Friday,
Oct. 8th at Jimmy Z's at 9:00 pm. Located in Everett at 1712 Hewitt,
Jimmy Z's has a full bar, pool tables, and a kickin' sound system. The
second will be Friday, Oct. 29th at Planet Hot Rod at 9:00 pm (7403
Pacific Highway in Fife). Though there are no tacos this time, Fife's
biker bar puts on quite a show on the weekend.
Last month DBD submitted its 3-song demo to The Rocket for review. Keep
watching those issues as they come out to see what Seattle's indie rock
critics think. Also look for some kick-ass video footage from the
Battle of the Bands to appear on the website in the near future.
