Newsletter #13 - April 2002

Greetings to all you Dead But Dreaming fans! Once again it's time for an update from the band.

Big thanks go out to those who attended DBD's most recent shows at the Harborside Bar & Grill on February 16th, and the Ballard Firehouse on February 17th. The Harborside show featured an energetic full-length set by the band, debuting guitarist Devin Hall. The Firehouse show was an all-ages event, and the band closed the evening out in typical Dead But Dreaming style, with a power-packed selection of songs for the shorter show time.

The band has been forced to cancel some of its shows recently due to guitarist Devin Hall's decision to depart from the band. However, he is sticking it through for two important shows that Dead But Dreaming hopes to make the most of. The first is at The Manette Saloon on Saturday, April 13th! The Manette is located at 2113 E. 11th St. in Bremerton, just a short drive from Tacoma! Show starts at 9pm. DBD will be headlining this show, with Room Zero (roomzero.net) opening the show and Sweet Root closing for the night. These bands were hand-picked by DBD, so the show should be fun and action packed! Directions to the Manette Saloon are as follows...

> From the Ferry Terminal in Bremerton: When you get off the Ferry, stay to your right. Turn right on the Manette Bridge. Turn right at first intersection after the Bridge. Take next left on 11th. Manette Saloon is on the second block on the right.

> From Highway 16: Take the Highway 304/Navy Yard Highway exit. You get to drive past the big ships and aircraft carriers. Turn right onto Burwell (heads towards Ferries). You can't miss the turn, you have to make an effort to miss it :-) Follow all the way through to where it makes a "T" on Washington. Go left. Turn right on the Manette Bridge. Turn right at first intersection after the Bridge. Take next left on 11th. The Manette Saloon is on the second block on the right. 360-792-0801, www.manettesaloon.com.

The next show is Sunday, April 28th at I-Spy in Seattle! I-Spy is located at 1921 5th Ave (between Virginia & Stewart). DBD has had the good fortune of being selected for the Northwest music sampler CD being released by Humble Rocks Records, and this show is the CD release party! Dead But Dreaming is opening the show with a 40 minute set, starting at 8pm sharp, a special bonus for those fans who don't want to be out late! While you are there, pick up your FREE sampler CD featuring the bands that will be performing that evening, including Dead But Dreaming! Tickets are $6, but DBD is offering a newsletter special on these tickets, so contact the band for more details at or 206-949-0585! Everyone wants to see this be a packed show to launch this CD in grand style, and the band knows it can count on it's fans to come through and make this the best place to be on a Sunday night! Directions to I-Spy are...

> From I-5 heading North, take the Seneca street exit, merge onto Seneca street, turn right onto 4th Ave, turn right onto Virginia street, turn right onto 5th Ave.

> From I-5 heading South, take the Union street exit, stay straight to go onto Union street, turn right onto 4th Ave, turn right onto Virginia street, right onto 5th Ave. I-Spy - entrance in alley between 4th & 5th. 206-374-9492, www.ispyseattle.com, www.humblerocks.com.

As always, check the Dead But Dreaming website for the latest scoop on the band. New pictures are already up, but the band is beginning its search for a new guitarist... so if anyone out there knows any interested parties, speak up!

That's it for now from Dead But Dreaming! Keep an eye out for more news coming soon!
